From meeting transcript to blog post β€” Fireflies + Claude + Grammarly

Turn an hour of Zoom into 900 words of publishable copy in 15 minutes. The tool chain and prompts that actually work.

Why this specific chain

  • **Fireflies** β€” reliable transcription across Zoom, Meet, Teams. Speaker diarisation is best-in-class.
  • **Claude** β€” turns rambling conversation into structured prose without stripping personality.
  • **Grammarly** β€” final polish + tone consistency. Not for grammar β€” for the tone rewrites.

Step 1 β€” Capture

Fireflies auto-joins your meeting; no action needed if you've configured it against your calendar. When the meeting ends, transcript is in Fireflies within 90 seconds.

Step 2 β€” Prompt Claude

Do NOT ask Claude to "summarise" β€” you'll get bullet points nobody wants to read. Use this exact prompt:

You are ghost-writing a blog post based on a meeting transcript. The
speaker's voice is direct, opinionated, and uses concrete examples over
abstract framing.
Take the transcript below and turn it into a 700-900 word blog post in the
speaker's voice. Structure: hook (2 sentences) β†’ the argument (3-4
paragraphs, each with a concrete example) β†’ so what (2 sentences).
Do not add anything the speaker did not say. Do not use words like
"harness", "leverage", or "unlock". Do not open with "In today's..."
Transcript:
[PASTE TRANSCRIPT]

Sonnet 5 nails this on the first try 70% of the time. If it drifts, add: "The previous draft was too corporate. Rewrite with more of the speaker's actual phrases."

Step 3 β€” Grammarly for tone

Grammarly's tone detector catches accidental formality creep. Set the target tone to "Confident" and "Informal" β€” it'll flag the sentences that don't match.

Step 4 β€” Human pass

You still need to read the whole thing. Watch specifically for: - Made-up statistics (Claude occasionally invents numbers) - Wrong dates - Missing context that only makes sense to attendees

Total time

Meeting ends 2pm β†’ post live 2:45pm. About 15 minutes of active work.
