Suno generates full songs with vocals, lyrics, and instrumentation from a text prompt. The output is genuinely shocking the first time you hear it — pop, country, hip-hop, ambient, electronic; all styles produced at a level that would have seemed impossible 18 months ago.

The v4 model release pushed vocal quality close enough to professional human performance that legal questions about training data and copyright are now the dominant conversation around the product. Suno is in active litigation over both.

For demo tracks, background music, ad jingles, and any use case where "good enough, fast" beats "perfect, slow," Suno is the obvious tool. For commercial release of generated tracks, the IP picture is unclear and tools that route royalties / use cleaner training data may be safer bets longer term.
