Callstack.ai PR Reviewer is an AI bot that sits on top of your Git workflow and auto-reviews every pull request. It posts a structured summary (sometimes with auto-generated diagrams), inline comments on suspect diffs, and flags spanning bugs, performance regressions, security vulnerabilities, and even grammar in docstrings and comments. Setup is essentially install-and-go via a GitHub Action / app.

What differentiates it from the wave of generic 'AI reviews your PR' bots is the custom-guidelines layer: teams can encode their own coding standards, architectural conventions, and lint-style preferences, and the reviewer will weight feedback against them rather than spraying generic LLM opinions. It's pitched at engineering teams who already have a style guide and want the bot to enforce it before a human reviewer ever opens the diff. Currently in beta, with pricing not publicly listed.

Language coverage is broad for a code-review bot: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Kotlin, PHP, Go, Ruby, Rust, plus React and Vue. It comes from Callstack, the React Native consultancy, so React/RN repos are a natural sweet spot but it is not limited to them.

Editor's take

A focused, opinionated take on AI code review from a team that actually ships production React Native for a living. The custom-guidelines hook is the right wedge in a crowded category; we'd like to see pricing and the underlying model disclosed before recommending it for regulated codebases.

Pros

  • Custom team guidelines are first-class, not an afterthought
  • Covers 10+ languages including Go, Rust, Kotlin and PHP
  • Auto-generated PR summaries and diagrams reduce reviewer load
  • Ships as a GitHub Action with minimal setup
  • Backed by Callstack, an established React Native consultancy

Cons

  • ⚠️ Still in beta with limited public pricing transparency
  • ⚠️ Underlying model and data-handling policy aren't publicly documented
  • ⚠️ GitLab/Bitbucket support unclear; GitHub is the obvious primary target
