Open data

The AI Tool Bible catalogue is published as open data under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence (CC BY 4.0). Use it, remix it, build on it, including commercially, as long as you credit us.

What the dataset is

One row per tool in the directory: 914 tools across 10 categories. 281 are editorially verified, 611 are auto-enriched (machine-drafted, awaiting editorial review) and 22 are marked stale. 697 have a score and 217 have none; unscored tools are left blank, not estimated.

Counts are read from the database when this page is rebuilt (at most hourly). The most recent automated link check was on 2026-10-06. Scores come from an AI-assisted editorial rubric; they are not user ratings. See the methodology and the about page for what each verification label means.

Downloads and API

  • /export/csv: the full catalogue as a CSV file. Limited to 1 request per minute per IP.
  • /api/v1/tools?per_page=100: read-only JSON, paginated (page, per_page up to 100) with optional category, pricing and updated_since (ISO date) filters. Limited to 60 requests per minute per IP.
  • /api/v1/tools/<slug>: a single tool, including pros, cons, best-for and not-for. Limited to 120 requests per minute per IP.

Every JSON response repeats the licence and attribution line. Long descriptions, editor takes and any rating or review counts are not part of the export.

score is null when a tool is unscored. verification_status is one of editorial-verified, auto-enriched or stale. The CSV description_snippet is cut to 300 characters; the full text lives on each tool page.
